About me
Hi, I’m toms a solo traveler from Bali, the island of sunsets, temples, and quiet healing. My journey began after a breakup — a chapter that left me lost, but also free to rediscover who I really was.
I packed my bag with no clear plan, just a heart that needed space to breathe. What started as an escape soon became a way of finding myself again — through new places, new people, and the beauty of being completely alone yet never truly lonely.
From the peaceful shrines of Japan, to the cobblestone streets of Europe, to the desert skies of the Middle East, and the tropical rhythm of Southeast Asia, I’ve learned that healing doesn’t happen all at once — it unfolds with every sunrise in a new place.
Travel taught me that endings aren’t failures — they’re invitations to begin again, to rebuild, to wander, and to trust the road ahead.
This blog is my open journal — full of lessons, laughter, and little moments that remind me how far I’ve come.
Frequent Asking Question
Am I Still Traveling?
Not at the moment — I’ve paused my travels for a while. Right now, I’m staying in Bantul, Special Region of Yogyakarta, focusing on finishing my master’s degree and organizing all the stories, lessons, and memories I’ve gathered from my journeys around the world.
Traveling has shaped who I am — it taught me how to heal after heartbreak, how to be brave alone, and how to see beauty in every small moment. Now, I’m using this quiet time to write, reflect, and share those experiences on my website.
Even though my backpack is resting for now, my heart is still on the road — dreaming, planning, and getting ready for the next adventure that’s waiting out there.
Do I Use AI to Write?
Yes — I do use AI sometimes, but not for everything. I combine it with my own words, memories, and emotions. AI helps me shape ideas, organize thoughts, and polish my stories — but the feelings, experiences, and soul behind every post are completely mine.
Every place I write about is somewhere I’ve truly been, something I’ve truly felt, or a moment that changed me. AI is just a tool — the journey, the voice, and the heart will always be my own.
About the Photos on My Blog?
All the stories and experiences you read here are truly mine — written from my own travels and memories.
I don’t use stock photos in my blog posts themselves, because I want everything I share to feel real and personal.
However, I do use a few stock images on my homepage and front-end design — just to make the website look cleaner and more professional. My photography skills are still growing, and I want my readers to enjoy a beautiful experience while reading.
Every image, whether taken by me or carefully chosen, is meant to capture the feeling of the journey — not just the view.
